Engineer and builder based in Vienna. Studying electrical engineering at TU Wien, building an applied-AI product, available for remote project work in software, apps, platforms, and embedded / edge AI.

I’m Harald Fuchs, a BSc student in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at TU Wien, with five years of formal training in electronics and technical informatics behind me. Most of my engineering work sits between hardware and software — microcontrollers, sensors, and the pipelines that turn their data into something useful.

Beyond the degree, my time goes into three things: building (products, ventures, side projects), learning (and writing it down in public), and creating value — for clients through project work, and longer-term through my own products.

Since the start of 2026 a growing share of that has gone into applied AI: building agents and the tooling around them — Claude plugins and skills, agent orchestration, Openclaw, Paperclip, LangGraph. Less interest in the models themselves than in what survives contact with real use, which is where most of the work actually is.

Supported the engineering team on automation projects for the pharmaceutical industry, working with SIMATIC PCS 7 and TIA Portal and assisting with on-site commissioning at customer facilities.

Austrian Armed Forces — national service · Jul 2024 – Jan 2025

Six months between the HTL and university. Administrative work, most of it in Excel, alongside field training — several marches and a Feldwoche.

Building

REPLAI — applied AI software for short-term rental hosts, in build since Feb 2026. LLM-driven guest communication across channels in a unified inbox, with automated and approval-gated replies. Node.js, Supabase, n8n, React Native.

Off the clock

Strength training has been the constant since 2022. Beyond my own training I write individual plans for people around me and help them fix technique — programming and progression, and the biomechanics behind why a lift stalls or starts to hurt. If you want a plan, ask.

Mountains in both seasons. Skiing since 2008, mountaineering since 2016 — many tours, highest summit so far the Großvenediger at 3657 m.

Travelling whenever the semester leaves room. Most recently a month through Asia in September 2025 — scuba diving, daily yoga, and an unreasonable number of coconuts.

Before the gym there was football: ten seasons in a club team, 2011 to 2021.

I was born in 2005 and grew up in Tulln an der Donau, Lower Austria, before moving to Vienna for the HTL.
